Cosmos 2 Plot

This movie takes place after the Ultraman Cosmos TV series.  In addition to all 3 types of Cosmos modes (Lunda, Coronoa, Eclipse), two new modes are revealed:  Space Corona and Skeleton Coronoa.  Musashi Haruno (aka Ultraman Cosmos), now 20-years-old, has kept his promise to become an astronaut.

On his first mission into deep space, he is about to land on the planet Juran to meet its protector, the monster Palastan. On arrival, however, he finds a dead world, destroyed by a space creature called Scorpis.

Musashi is about to be killed when Ultraman Cosmos shows up, saves the day, and brings him back to Earth. The next day, Musashi joins his childhood friends for a wedding. Musashi is especially happy to see Mary, who brings him on a sea dive. They discover that there is a secret passage that leads to the Blue Area, an island inside the Earth, complete with artificial sea and sky. Meanwhile, another Scorpis shows up on Earth. It lands on the island of Saipan near the Blue Area, threatening its very existence. The people of the Blue Area send their own guardian monster, Rika (a flying stingray), but it is no match for Scorpis. Musashi goes down to meet the people of the Blue Area, where he learns that they are actually from another world that was destroyed by an evil super monster called Sandros, with his army of Scorpis. They realize Sandros must be on his way to Earth.  Ultraman Cosmos alone can’t defeat Scorpis, but with Ultraman Justice (the introduction of a new Ultraman, the 29th official one to be exact), the 2 just might be able to defeat Scorpis!

Ultraman Cosmos v. Ultraman Justice: The Final Battle

Bonus Features: Trailers (Several of the movie itself, and other Ultra DVDs, like Ultraman Kings Jubilee. Another Bonus example: Behind the Scenes Commentary by at least any one of 3 actors of your choice.

This is the 3rd feature film for Ultraman Cosmos, and was released Summer 2003.  Also starring Ultraman Justice, who is the 29th Official Ultraman, and one of the few Ultras who chooses a woman for human form.  The story is about an alien, like the Ultras, who protects order and the Universe, named Delasion.  Delasion and the Ultras foresee the future, and 2000 years later, the Earth will become a dangerous planet so they have to destroy everything and renew all the lives now to prevent that catastrophe.  Although Ultraman Justice agrees with Delasion, Ultraman Cosmos does not.  This sets into motion the ultra-battle between Cosmos and Justice, and later, with Delasion.

In the meanwhile, Delasion sets Robot-Monsters (Gloker & Gloker Type 2 & 3), to Earth to began the process of destruction and to eliminate the human will to fight.  However, to destroy the Earth means also destroying the monsters that occupy the Earth, and they decide to fight on the side of Ultraman Cosmos to defend their lives.

Will Ultraman Justice turn to the “dark side” and remain?  Does Ultraman Cosmos die? Will the Universe be saved? And what happens when you mix the life-force of 2 Ultras?  This and many other questions are answered.
